Welcome to The Pensacola Synagogue

Every community needs a gathering point—a place to connect, relax, and grow together. For Pensacola’s Jewish community, that place is The Pensacola Synagogue.

A "shul," Yiddish for a house of prayer and study, is where any Jew can find warmth, spirituality, and a sense of belonging.

Come whenever you want, stay as long as you like. Bring the whole family!

There is no charge or membership required to come. You're already a member. We all are.

Our services, led by our spiritual leader Rabbi Mendel Danow, are traditional yet casual, with a joyful, welcoming atmosphere. Children are always included and encouraged to join. Whether you’re a seasoned attendee or this is your first time, you’ll feel right at home.

If you can’t read Hebrew, don’t worry. Our prayer book is bilingual, and we regularly call out page numbers and offer explanations throughout the service. With uplifting songs and explanations given for each step of the way, even first-timers will feel comfortable and connected.

The insightful Torah teachings ensure that the Torah is relevant and meaningful to each person, no matter their background.

One of the highlights of our community is the delicious Shabbat dinners and Kiddush luncheons that follow Friday night and Shabbat morning services, lovingly prepared by Rebbetzin Nechama Danow. These meals are where friendships are built, and nurtured, as we celebrate each other’s milestones and simchas.

On Saturday mornings, we gather at 10:00 AM for prayers, with the reading of the weekly Torah portion at 11:00 AM.

After the service, a delightful Kiddush lunch is served.

During Jewish holidays, we offer special services, including Yizkor and other meaningful prayers—all in the same enjoyable, easy-to-follow atmosphere.
